Pulitzer-prize winning author Junot Diaz has sold the Hamilton Heights townhouse that he and former fiance state Senate candidate Marisol Alcantara co-owned for a sizable profit.
After a messy five-year court battle between Diaz and Alcantara over the property, the two have decided to settle out of court for the three-family home that they jointly purchased in 2002 for $380,000. According to the New York Post, the house is now in contract for $2.3 million.
The townhouse is located just off of Broadway at 529 West 141st Street in the historic Hamilton Heights district. It offers 4,755 square feet across four stories with eight bedrooms in all. While it’s not super fancy, notable details include open-concept living quarters, exposed brick, at least one decorative fireplace, and a large backyard.
