Midtown rental near the United Nations comes with a private pool

The apartment’s 700-square-feet of private outdoor space include a private lap pool

private swimming pool at 100 United Nations Plaza

Sure, this spacious Turtle Bay rental, currently asking $7,995/month, has a number of selling points like brand new stainless steel kitchen appliances and its own full-sized laundry room, but the real reason to rent this place has nothing to do with practical concerns, like the quality of the light (excellent) or the number of bathrooms (two and a half).

No, the real reason to rent this place is the spectacular excess of outdoor space: between the terrace, the planter, the sprawling patio, and the heated swimming pool (!!!), the home includes more than 700 square feet of private city wilderness.

The indoor living area, meanwhile, offers a well-appointed blank canvas, with an enormous living/dining room, a user-friendly open kitchen, an untold number of deep closets, and two bedrooms conveniently located at opposite ends of the apartment.

And while its hard to compete with the merits of the apartment itself, the building, too, offers no shortage of amenities, including 24-hour concierge service, a cold storage room, a “business room,” an “entertainment room,” and a 5,000 square-foot fitness center.
