This West Village townhouse has been struggling to find a buyer for over six years now—even a rental stint courtesy Derek Jeter didn’t seem to do the trick initially, but it seems the celebrity cache has finally paid off. The four-story home at 56 Bank Street is now in contract, after most recently being listed for $7.495 million in October last year, The Observer reports.

The townhouse was built in 1883 and features just two bedrooms spread out over 2,800 square feet. Some of the standout features in this home include the landscaped patio, the steel staircase with a solid cherry handrail that runs along all four floors of the house, and four gas-burning fireplaces.

If the listing photos are anything to go by however, the townhouse is pretty modest compared to the megamansions-in-the-making that hogged the West Village real estate news last year including ones owned by Sarah Jessica Parker, and telecom executive Dexter Goei.

The modest scale of the townhouse has not stopped a bevy of celebrities passing through its doors. A list of former residents here includes Yoko Ono, Lauren Bacall, and Alex Rodriguez. Derek Jeter rented the home for a few years, and moved out in the spring of 2015. In the long run, it seems like all of that finally paid off towards its sale.
