Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

Who says you have to spend a million dollars to live a life of elegance? While in Manhattan, that is often the case, there are a handful of apartments that sneak onto the market, every now and then, for what one could consider a “good deal” in this overpriced world of real estate. On East 56th Street, a one-bedroom condo, barely scraping below the million dollar mark at $950,000, does just that.

Brokerbabble calls this 790-square-foot apartment a junior four, meaning that there is a living room, kitchen, dining/small room, and a bedroom. In this case, the alcove that could potentially be the dining room is equipped with a built-in Murphy bed adjacent the small but modern kitchen.

The living room sports what appears to be an accentuating wall paper (that also appears in several other places in the apartment), crown molding, and large windows. The bedroom is a pretty large space and boasts two closets and two windows, though it’s not easily determined if they allow for adequate sunlight.

Common charges cost $1,101 and monthly taxes add another $652 to the bill. Building amenities offer a 24-hour doorman, laundry room, and bike storage.
