The Oscar-winning director has listed the apartment for less than its 2015 purchase price

It’s been less than a year since Kathryn Bigelow inked a deal for her two-bedroom, two-bathroom Tribeca condo, but already the Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker director wants out. Bigelow listed the 1,665-square-foot apartment earlier this week for $2.895 million, curiously less than she purchased it for in March 2015. Bigelow dropped $3.03 million on the condo, fittingly in a former film production studio as noted by the Observer, that includes some nifty gadgets like motorized shades, Hi Def Bang & Olufsen Surround Audio wiring, and LED Lighting systems.

The building elevator opens right into the third-floor apartment, onto the kitchen that comes decked out in Viking and Sub Zero appliances, Macassar Shinnoki cabinets, and a marble countertop. A small balcony juts off of the master bedroom, but that’s it in the way of outdoor space for this apartment. The listing pictures aren’t all that impressive, but maybe it’s a place that needs to be seen IRL to be understood.
