The 1,079-foot tower is slowly but surely plodding towards completion

Three World Trade Center, the 80-story glass behemoth designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, topped out way back in June, and since then workers have been busy putting up the building’s innocuous, glassy facade. A few photos of the tower appeared in the Curbed Flickr Feed, courtesy of NyConstructionPhoto, showing just how far exterior work has come along.

On Wedensday, the Westfield World Trade Center Mall announced (h/t DNAinfo) that the team behind one of New York’s most revered restaurants, Eleven Madison Park, will be setting up shop in the new tower. Michelin-starred chef Daniel Humm and business partner Will Guidara will open a 7,000-sqaure-foot casual eatery in the building. It’ll join other World Trade Center dining options like Eataly and the nearby epic food court at Brookfield Place.

The building’s on course for a 2018 opening.
