Fresh off the heels of a largely contested 23-story development at 626 Flatbush Avenue, plans have been revealed for a new project just a few blocks away have been revealed, only this time around it’s much shorter in height.
Hudson Companies announced that it will bring an eight-story rental building to 350 Clarkson Street. The low-rise building, to be designed by CetraRuddy, will encompass the entire block and 225,000 square feet of space. It’s facade will feature a simple design, sporting dark gray with hints of red, yellow and white brick to go with its many glass windows.
There will be a total of 250 market-rate apartments, though how those units will be sized and what they’ll rent for has yet to be foreseen. The announcement also points to plans for a 6,000-square-foot retail space on the ground floor.
As it stands, amenities are set to include a fitness center, yoga room, game room, concierge, rooftop terrace, and a private screening room.
No word on the anticipated completion date but developers are expecting leasing to begin sometime in the latter part of 2018.
