Reservations to use the courts aren’t cheap

Williamsburg’s McCarren Park just got a whole lot cooler— or should we say, warmer. The 700,000-square-foot park has added a new climate-controlled bubble over the seven “US Open-like” courts at its Tennis Center.

In order to take advantage of the resurfaced courts during the winter days, reservations must be scheduled in advance. Unfortunately, this does not come cheap, with prices ranging from $40 to $55 per hour from Monday through Friday, depending on the time of day that the reservation is made and rates going up from $50 to $55 per hour for Saturdays and Sundays. The Tennis Center also offers private and group lessons for children, juniors, and adults.

If tennis isn’t year thing, McCarren Park offers a myriad of other activities that can be enjoyed year-round. There is an indoor basketball court, fitness center, table tennis, and more.

If you’re brave enough to endure the blistering cold this weekend, head over to McCarren Park and check it out for yourself.
