$3M Sutton Place apartment comes with sleek, modern interiors

New, 6 comments

It’s in a pre-war co-op, but the apartment is thoroughly modern

This thoroughly modern Sutton Place three-bedroom “has it all,” according to the listing. And while “all” is a matter of some debate—there is, for example, neither a koi pond nor a dog spa—the co-op has quite a lot going for it.

The interiors were done by New York designer Wesley Moon, and the spacious living room has a sleek fireplace, herringbone floor (which are picked up again in the equally sizable dining room), a kitchen with the usual roster of new top-of-the-line appliances—plus a very festive floor pattern—and three sizable bedrooms with their own en suite baths. There’s also a fully loaded laundry room, decked out with not only a washer, dryer, and sink, but also a second fridge and storage space.

Currently listed for $2.85 million, the place is outfitted with through the wall a/c, soundproof city windows, and access to a shared roof deck. Monthly charges, however, total $4,223—though that includes electric and basic cable, which is something.
