UPDATE 5/8/18: The Wall Street Journal has learned that Karen Lo, heiress to Hong Kong’s Vitasoy beverage empire, is the new owner of Sting and Trudie Styler’s Central Park West penthouse. She paid $50 million for the duplex, the sale of which closed in April.
Legendary musician Sting and his wife Trudie Styler didn’t have to wait too long to find a buyer for their duplex penthouse within Robert A.M. Stern’s 15 Central Park West. The apartment went into contract in October, and the sale has just hit public records—it sold for exactly $50 million, as was previously reported.
That’s a discount from the $56 million that it was asking when it hit the market in May, but it’s nothing for Sting to lament over, considering that he bought the place for just under $27 million back in 2008.
The duplex occupies the 16th and 17th floor of Stern’s überpricey Central Park condo, and has been given a boost of character with finishes like French doors, an open gas fireplace inspired by the Fibonacci spiral, and a custom curved staircase. It spans nearly 5,500 square feet with three bedrooms, a 400-square-foot terrace, and 44 feet of frontage along Central Park.

As for Sting, he and Styler are allegedly jumping from one Stern building to the next—namely, the incredibly expensive supertall on the rise at 220 Central Park South. In the meantime, the couple is reportedly renting at Zaha Hadid’s curved High Line condo.
Here’s the 15CPW floorplan one more time:
