West Village condo with Olsen twins, Bruce Eichner ties seeks $25M

An enormous penthouse at One Morton Square just hit the market, and it’s a stunner of a space—it’s nearly 6,000 square feet, with five bedrooms and jaw-dropping views of lower Manhattan—with a storied past. It was once owned by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who bought the apartment back when the building was under construction, and put it on the market not long after.

But the famed fashionistas didn’t end up selling the place until 2010, to another big name—this one in the real estate world. Continuum Company’s Bruce Eichner snapped up the place for $7.7 million, and now he’s looking to make a tidy profit on the place. It’s listed for a whopping $25 million.

The Olsens allegedly never lived in the place, but Eichner—who actually did the call the apartment home—transformed it into a “both gracious and grand” space, per the listing.

In addition to its five bedrooms, the apartment has an enormous, double-sized living room, a wine fridge with a 1,000-bottle capacity, an eat-in kitchen, a master suite with a huge dressing room, and views of the Hudson River all around.

Douglas Elliman’s Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes—who are working with Eichner on his Flatiron skyscraper Madison Square Park Tower—are marketing the property; they would not comment on the sale.
