Lovely Sutton Place townhouse on a secluded street seeks $11.58M

New, 10 comments

The home has four bedrooms and four (!) private gardens

It’s ba-aaaaack! The townhouse at 3 Riverview Terrace was one for the Pricechopper Hall of Fame back in the day; it went on the market in 2007, and fluctuated wildly in price before finally selling for $10 million in 2012.

But as of this week, the buyer—who was hidden behind a shell called Tir Na Nog Realty, LLC—has decided to part ways with the 4,257-square-foot townhouse, and listed it with a starting price of $11.85 million.

The home itself, which the brokerbabble calls a “secret treasure,” is a beaut: It’s located in tony Sutton Place, on a private road with its own gated entry, parking spots, and keyed garden. (Must be nice.) There are four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms over its five stories, with not one, not two, not three, but four outdoor spaces (a garden, a balcony, a terrace and a roof deck)—and yes, that’s in addition to the fancypants garden accessible to block residents.

Unsurprisingly, there are a lot of perks to this place: it has a lovely curved staircase (as well as an elevator) along with other decorative touches like custom millwork and built-in bookshelves; a ton of closet space; a full-floor master suite with its own huge bathroom; and a top-floor sun room that leads to the expansive roof deck.

Sounds pretty nice, right? But it remains to be seen how much this will sell for; the home has, at various points, been on the market for $19 million, $13 million, $12 million, and finally $10 million.
