Rock legend Keith Richards is still looking for a buyer for his Greenwich Village penthouse. The Rolling Stones guitarist first listed the property in March 2016, just two years after buying it for $10.5 million with wife and model Patti Hansen. At the time it was listed, the property was asking $12.23 million but even with Richards’s star power the duplex failed to find a buyer. It’s asking price remained stagnant until it was delisted in early September.
But now, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 1 Fifth Avenue has returned to the market, sporting a pretty price chop and a brokerage switch to Douglas Elliman. (Of course, it’s listed with the firm’s very own celebrity team of Fredrik Eklund, John Gomes, and Adam Widener.)
Now asking $11.995 million, the three-unit combo paid underwent a renovation at the hands of architect Joe Serrins in 2011. Serrins created a contemporary interior with a seamless, open floorplan. The apartment’s 47-foot frontage along Fifth Avenue connects the apartment’s living, dining, and entertaining spaces. One of the apartment’s three terraces is adjacent to the dining room. Each of the apartment’s four bedrooms, two on the lower floor and two above, has its own en suite bathrooms.
