A sprawling triplex penthouse in the heart of Soho is now on the market for a whopping $20 million. The penthouse takes up the top three floors of the Greenhouse Condo building, on Greene Street. Three cast iron buildings built in the late 19th century were combined to create this condo building in 1985.

The triplex penthouse measures 8,200 square feet, and comes with an additional 4,000 square feet of outdoor space, including a rooftop terrace. The apartment opens up (through custom-designed doors from Paris, no less) into a palatial living room with 20-foot-tall windows and 36-foot-tall ceiling heights.

A standout feature here is the sculptural, glass staircase, located at the center of the apartment, which connects all three floors of the unit. Other exceptional elements in this house include the Venetian plaster walls, and the Philippe Starck-designed kitchen, which comes with stone flooring.

The master bedroom has an entire floor to itself, and looks out on to a private terrace that’s fitted with a jacuzzi. In all, this triplex penthouse has four bedrooms, and four bathrooms, and the latter have their own wing separate from the other living spaces.

The triplex is also being offered as a duplex for $13.5 million.
