Jennifer Lopez is looking to part with her sprawling penthouse at Nomad boutique condo The Whitman for $26.95 million. The listing comes amid rumors that the multihyphenate New York native and beau, retired Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, are house hunting.
The New York Times had the first peek at the listing, with Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group. “This is the crown jewel of the Whitman,” Modlin told the Times, and as the four-condo building’s penthouse, that is nearly literally the case. (Lopez counts among her neighbors Chelsea Clinton and NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.)
The 6,540-square-foot duplex comes with four bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two half baths, as well as more unique amenities like a rooftop putting green. The keyed elevator opens onto a 45-foot by 29-foot great room with an overhead skylight and three sets of french doors that open onto a shallow terrace.
The top floor holds three of the bedrooms, including the spacious master suite with two full bathrooms and a large dressing area. The bedroom is flanked by two terraces, which make up a large part of the building’s 3,106-square-feet of outdoor space. Across the terrace that the bedroom opens onto is another room, called the upper lounge, with a powder room.
The impressive apartment set Lopez back $20.16 million in late 2014. See listing photos on the Modlin Group website.
