What will eventually be Manhattan West’s tallest tower has made significant progress in the last few months, new construction site photos by Field Condition have revealed. When complete, the Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill-designed building will stand 67-stories tall, and will bring 2.1 million square feet of office space to the Hudson Yards area.
The Brookfield Properties-developed megaproject, that’s right next to Related Companies’ Hudson Yards megaproject, has been making its mark over the past year. In March, the rental building within the six-building Manhattan West complex, The Eugene, welcomed its first set of residents.
Last week, Brookfield showed off the completed, REX-designed retrofit of the office building at 450 West 33rd Street a.k.a Five Manhattan West. One Manhattan West will be the next building to see completion within the megaproject. So far the law firm Skadden, Arps has signed on for space at One Manhattan West, which is expected to be complete in 2019.
