A large new residential project is headed to Williamsbridge, in the Bronx, The Real Deal reports. Developer Alan Bell has purchased four parcels of land along East 212th and East 211th Streets. Three of the properties are located at 718-722 East 212th Street, and the fourth is an adjoining lot on East 211th Street.
While plans haven’t been filed with the city’s Department of Buildings, Google Maps images reveal that the sites are mostly vacant save for a few low-rise structures. The developer does offer some more information on his website however.
As plans stand right now, the developer hopes to build two eight-story buildings that will feature a total of 173 apartments. The breakdown of the units is as follows: 28 studios, 56 one-bedrooms, 57 two-bedrooms, and 31 three-bedrooms. Fifty-two of these apartments will be set aside for the formerly homeless. In addition, there will be a landscaped interior courtyard for the two buildings.
MHG Architects are listed as the architect on the project. No word yet on when construction will get underway.
