Field Condition has brought us the first real look at the facade of Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Tadao Ando’s Nolita condo, at 152 Elizabeth Street. The building topped out in February this year, but at that time, the structure was still covered in scaffolding.
These new construction site photos however clearly show the building’s glass, concrete and steel facade, closely resembling the renderings of the project. Developed by Sumaida + Khurana, in partnership with Nahla Capital, the condo building was first announced in March 2014. Construction only got underway in August last year, but the project has moved forward swiftly since.
The building features just seven apartments. Three are in contract, according to StreetEasy, and three others are still on the market, ranging in price from $6.25 million to $15 million. One of the units that went into contract was the building’s model home, which was asking $6.1 million. The building’s penthouse was on the market for $35M.
Construction was scheduled to wrap before the end of this year, but by the looks of it, it might be a few more months until the first set of residents start moving in.
