This West Village co-op has a glass box for a bedroom

But it’s frosted, so privacy! Sort of?

Welcome back to The Six-Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

There’s something a bit unusual about this West Village one-bedroom—namely, the fact that the bedroom is located within what’s essentially a glass box plopped in the middle of the living room.

It’s not as weird as it could be, to be fair; the owners erected a “[d]ramatic frosted glass panel wall” that surrounds the space allocated for a bedroom. The space itself isn’t exactly huge, but it does have windows—two of ‘em, in fact—and the enclosure affords a modicum of privacy. (It could be worse, is what we’re saying.)

The apartment itself is rather long and narrow, and though it’s a one-bedroom (or, you know, “one-bedroom”), it also has some ancillary spaces—an office near the entryway, and a “dressing room” next to the bedroom. The kitchen and the bathroom were both recently renovated, so it’s got newness going for it to.

As for the price: it’s asking $698,000, with maintenance coming in at $1,376/month.

Listing: 100 West 12th Street #2G [Corcoran]
