Fogarty Finger will design new mixed-use building for historic Park Row

New, 2 comments

So far details have only emerged on the three-story retail portion of this development

A new residential and retail building is set to rise on the corner of Park Row and Ann Street, in the Financial District, just a few doors down from two other new projects that are now in different stages of development.

This latest project is located at 1 Park Row, and at present, details remain scarce. The architecture firm on the project, Fogarty Finger, shared two new renderings of the development, but they only pertain to the three-story retail portion of the building. The architecture firm declined to provide information on the residential portion of the building that will likely sit above this retail base.

Plans filed with the city’s Department of Buildings show that demolition plans for the existing six-story building at the site have been submitted, as have plans for the construction of this three-story retail building.

Just one building away from 1 Park Row, work is now underway on a 54-story residential building at 23 Park Row designed by COOKFOX Architects, and developed by L&M Development along with the founders of the J&R Music Store, which this project replaced. Right next to this project is Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners’ first NYC residential tower at 1 Beekman Street; the project is now halfway to its 25-story peak.

We will be sure to update this post when we learn more about the residential component of the building at 1 Park Row.
