Deron Williams is still trying to sell his Tribeca penthouse, more than two years after he first listed it on the market for $33.5 million. Several price cuts later, the apartment is now on the market for $26 million.
Let’s quickly take a look back at the price cuts on the palatial penthouse: In the summer of 2016, Williams first slashed the ask on the six-bedroom, six-bathroom unit by $2.5 million. No buyers came forward, so the price was reduced once again, later that year, to $28 million. The 7,200-square-foot condo was also being offered as a $60,000/month rental at that time. Even if the apartment sells for its current ask of $26 million, it would still be somewhat of a tidy profit for Williams, who purchased it in 2013 for $15.8 million.
As for the apartment, some of the standout features include the media room, 3,000 square feet of outdoor space, floor-to-ceiling windows, and the sky-lit great room where the ceiling heights reach 17 feet.
Williams picked up this apartment while he was still playing for the Brooklyn Nets. He has since changed teams twice, and is currently a free agent. Will he finally be able to find a buyer for his Tribeca pad?
