Nearly four years after the project was first announced, the condo building on Dumbo’s last undeveloped lot is now complete. Field Condition stopped by at the 12-story, 1 John Street, developed by Monadnock Construction and Alloy Development, which has now sold all but one of its 42 condos.
The spacious loft-style apartments here range in size from 1,500 square feet to over 3,000 square feet and prices varied between $2 million to just under $9 million, when the units were still on the market. One particular apartment here, a massive 3,657-square-foot penthouse, holds the record for the most expensive condo ever sold in Brooklyn. The sale closed at $8.1 million.
There’s only one apartment still on the market, per StreetEasy records, and that’s asking $7.1 million. This unique four-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment, which comes with a glass-enclosed courtyard, and a private rooftop terrace, was still under construction when Curbed toured the development in May last year.
Field Condition’s photos reveal that the penthouse is now complete, as are the rooftop amenities for the rest of the residents in the building. Now make your way to Field Condition to check out the rest of the photos.
