A new tower has joined the Financial District skyline: 50 West, the Helmut Jahn-designed condo of ultra-shiny glass, is now complete. To be fair, its been around for a while—the building topped out at 780 feet way back in September 2015, but it wasn’t until recently that exterior work on the building wrapped up. Work continues on the condo’s 191 apartments, but closings are now underway for early buyers in the building.
To celebrate the milestone, its PR folks have sent around new glamor shots of the Battery Park City-adjacent property. Photos of the building’s unique model apartments, with interiors by Juul-Hansen and Canadian interior designer René Desjardins, made the rounds in January.
StreetEasy says that there are 114 active sales in the building, with 89 condos in contract. Prices for available apartments currently range from $2.47 million for a 1,087-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bathroom to $24.54 million for 3,373-square-foot three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom. Three apartments in the building are also available as rentals, ranging in price from $7,250/month to $10,000/month.
