Adorable ‘Parisian-style’ Greenwich Village one-bedroom wants $4,250/month

This Greenwich Village rental is heavy on the charm

This sweet little Greenwich Village one-bedroom rental has a lot of good things going for it. Let’s start with the location: It’s on West 9th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, one of the neighborhood’s prettiest blocks (and part of the neighborhood’s so-called Gold Coast of turn-of-the-century townhouses).

The apartment itself isn’t too shabby, either. The brokerbabble describes it as a “Parisian style flat,” and indeed, it does have that chic, vintage-but-modern thing going for it; the building itself, an 1846 townhouse that was remodeled in the early 20th century, only adds to that. The apartment is available furnished or unfurnished, so you can keep that style for yourself if you’d like; if not, the apartment’s modern kitchen, built-in bookshelves, and old fireplace would lend themselves well to most tastes.

There are some quirks, because no apartment in New York City is without them: The bedroom, though it has a window, is not particularly spacious; and yes, the rent isn’t particularly cheap. But it’s hard to beat this place in terms of charming Greenwich Village perfection.
