Annabelle Selldorf’s zinc-clad condo at 347 Bowery has finally revealed its full facade, EV Grieve reports. Construction site photos reveal that all the netting surrounding the 13-story building has come off, save for the scaffolding covering the retail base of the building.
The Urban Muse-developed condo building comprises of just five apartments—four duplexes and one triplex penthouse. Sales launched in June last year with apartments asking from $6.5 million.
Currently the penthouse and the duplex on the lowest floors are in contract—the penthouse here was listed at $17 million and went into contract just five days after it came on the market. Unless it sells at a hefty discount, this penthouse will handily surpass the Bowery record held by a penthouse at Morris Adjmi’s 250 Bowery, which sold for $5.5 million.
Selldorf’s Salvation Army-replacing condo topped out early last year, and construction has progressed pretty smoothly since Urban Muse acquired the site from the Parisian Hotel Group in 2013. The latter were planning to build a hotel with glowing red balconies, but that plan was eventually abandoned. 347 Bowery will wrap up construction later this year.
