A 116-year-old home in Prospect Lefferts Garden—nestled between red brick buildings and row houses—is now on the market asking $1.3 million. This two-story home (not including the attic in a previous avatar) has traded hands a few times over the past couple of years, property records reveal. It was most recently purchased in July last year for $1.19 million, and the new owner has subsequently renovated the home to try to sell it again.
The fully detached home, which measures 1,800 square feet, opens up into the living room, which has been done up with Douglas plank floors, imported from Denmark. A remodeled kitchen is beyond that and is fitted with a dishwasher, a five-burner stove, and white Caesarstone countertops. The kitchen, in turn, leads to a spacious backyard.
The house’s two bedrooms are located on the second floor, as is a small office space and a bathroom. The basement here has currently been done up as a tv and recreational room, and there’s a washer and dryer in the space as well.

The attic area here has a bathroom and two new skylights installed courtesy of the new owner. A previous owner had set it up as a bedroom. Here’s looking at how this lovely townhouse was setup in the not too distant past.
