Ivanka Trump has shaved $2,000 off of the asking rent for her modest Trump Park Avenue apartment, Mansion Global reports. In December, Trump concurrently listed her two-bedroom apartment as a $4.1 million sale and a $15,000/month rental. While the asking price remains unchanged, the monthly rent tacked to the place has been reduced to $13,000.
Trump picked up the 1,549-square-foot apartment at the corner of Park Avenue and 59th Street in 2004 for just over $1.5 million, according to Luxury Listings NYC. While her family’s expanded in that time—Ivanka is married to and shares three young children with Jared Kushner, owner of the New York Observer and adviser to the president—Trump has held on to the humble sixth-floor apartment.
The two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom condo is, however, not believed to be the apartment in the Park Avenue building in which Ivanka has lived for the past several years, according to multiple reports cited by Mansion Global. The Trump-Kushner clan are believed to have lived in a four-bedroom penthouse in the same building until recently, when the family publicly uprooted to Washington D.C. and reportedly settled in a $5.5 million Kalorama house.
