Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

This spacious Hamilton Heights home has recently received a top-to-bottom renovation but you wouldn’t think so upon first looks. The expansive three-bedroom, two-bathroom co-op, asking $990,000, has been remastered with a contemporary aesthetic but much of its prewar elegance remains the focal point throughout the 1,600-square-foot space.

An elaborate decorative fireplace graces the otherwise modest living room along with what looks like restored or replaced crown molding. The kitchen, on the other hand, is much more appealing with beautiful wood cabinets that line the walls from floor to ceiling, built-in stainless steel appliances, and a huge island.

The listing photos only give a peek into one of the bedrooms, but it’s a highly detailed one with a seated bay window, wooden wainscoting, and beamed ceilings. Judging from the floorplan, the other two bedrooms are moderately sized and one offers a massive walk-in closet.
