A modern loft with old-school charm

Modern sitting area in a tribeca loft

Billed as an “authentic loft beauty,” this airy Jay Street two-bedroom doesn’t disappoint. Priced at $2.85 million, the full-floor loft boasts an enormous open living-dining-eating-sitting space, fit for “both grand entertaining and casual, comfortable living.” While the vibe is crisp and modern, the co-op has plenty of classic, lofty details: high ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and an abundance of exposed brick.

That’s not even to mention the breezy chef’s kitchen, which comes equipped with all the usual highlights: gas cooktop, granite kitchen island, wine fridge, and “cabinets galore.” (There is also a built-in espresso maker.)

The sizable master bedroom has an en-suite bath with a glass-enclosed shower, while the smaller second bedroom comes with an adjoining study or office space, as well as a laundry area, and a second bathroom (with tub). Maintenance, however, clocks in at a rather eye-popping $2,355/month.
