There’s nothing ordinary about this apartment

The brokerbabble for this Chelsea penthouse beckons you to “step right up” if you’re the type of person to “avoid cookie-cutter at all costs.” And indeed, it is a rather unconventional space—one that comes with a $2.59 million price tag.

The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom co-op tops a re-built Chelsea townhouse on West 22nd Street, and it’s 15-foot cathedral ceilings create a dramatic effect. There is a huge wall of dark grey exposed brick, angled greenhouse-like windows, and loads of natural light. The kitchen is clean and modern, with a 16-foot island, sleek built-in appliances, and all the lacquer cabinets you could ask for.

Aside from the three bedrooms, the place comes with four storage rooms, two media rooms, a home office, a balcony, terrace, and a roof deck—so as far as penthouses go, this one has pretty much everything you could want. (Unless what you want is a space that doesn’t have much personality.)

Monthly maintenance will run you $2,369.
