It’s pretty much common knowledge that gorgeous lofts with multi-mullion dollar price tags are virtually synonymous with Tribeca real estate so what’s so special about this one? Well, maybe not much at first but if you bear with us, you might find yourself surprised.

This $10.89 million duplex penthouse occupies the top floor of 85 Leonard Street, a landmarked building that was once home dry goods store Kitchen, Montross & Wilcox. There are details that you’d expect from a pricey loft such as ceilings that reach 10 feet high, an elegant fireplace, and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows but the contemporary space is also infused with original 19th-century details, especially ornate molding found around the living room.

The open chef’s kitchen, located on the main level, is adorned with a massive island, sleek wood cabinets, and built-in appliances along with a huge dining space. The main level also hosts an office, two of the apartment’s four bedrooms, a full bathroom, two half baths, and two walk-in closets.

On the second floor you’ll find the expansive master bedroom which boasts an en-suite bathroom and yet another walk-in closet. There is also another bedroom and entry onto the roof terrace that measures more than 70 feet long with panoramic views of the city.

So what exactly does one do with 70 feet of private rooftop space? Well in this case, you create a mini golf course because why the heck not? And there’s what separates this Tribeca loft from all the rest.
