A simple yet lovely space in a great location, if you don’t mind it being a walk-up

Welcome back to The Six-Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

If you can get past the fact that this sunny East Village one-bedroom is located on a fifth floor of a walk-up building, perhaps you can see the many other reasons to potentially drop $899,000 on this uplifting apartment.

According to the listing description, the 705-square-foot condo is a corner apartment that is nice and bright thanks to the eastern and southern exposures in the spacious living/dining room. The kitchen encompasses a modest space with a sleek design, but don’t be fooled; there are high-end finishes in tow here like a built-in stainless steel Liebherr refrigerator, a dishwasher, “chef’s stove,” and Caesar stone counter tops.

The bedroom follows the light and airy trend with it’s lengthy design. There’s a few built-in bookshelves along with three large windows, custom closets, and shiny hardwood floors.

As with any condo, things don’t stop at the closing price. Common charges here will run you $527/month and monthly taxes slap on another $681/month but if it’s any solace, building amenities offer bike storage and a private garden.
