Chris Rock lists lovely Clinton Hill carriage house for $3.85M

The comedian bought the home back in the 1990s

Comedian Chris Rock may be living it up in Alpine, New Jersey, these days, but he’s held onto a carriage house in Clinton Hill since the 1990s. He’s been renting it for some time now, most recently in 2013 for $8,000/month, but it looks as if he’s ready to part ways permanently.

According to the New York Post, Rock just listed the two-bedroom home for $3.85 million—likely a very steep increase over what he bought it for more than 20 years ago. In the years since, the 3,700-square-foot home has gotten a modern, thoughtful renovation, with new appliances, central air, and other nice perks.

The home was built at the turn of the 20th century, and some of those details—original wood beams, exposed brick—remain as well. Though it’s configured as a two-bedroom with a stunning master suite, it could also be changed into a three-bedroom for a discerning buyer. It also comes with a patio and a two-car garage.
