As JDS’s Park Slope condo, Baltic, preps to welcome its first residents this fall, the development group has unveiled the first completed residence at this 11-story building, now nearing completion at the intersection of Baltic Street and Fourth Avenue.
This completed apartment is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit that comes with 10-foot-tall ceilings, custom oak floors, and polished nickel hardware used throughout the apartment. What will set these condos from others in the city (and the United States apparently) are their Brookmans-designed kitchens. This is the British firm’s first foray into the States, according to JDS.
This first finished unit is one of 44 in the building. Sales on the condo launched in early in 2016 with apartments starting at $920,000. The condo features a mix of one, two, and three bedrooms, and several units here are already in contract. Among the currently available units, prices range from $1.4 million for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo and go up to $3 million for a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home.

To drum up sales for the condo, the developer opened a quirky sales office last summer, and that certainly seems to have worked to a certain degree, at least. Amenities future residents here will be able to look forward to include an outdoor cinema, a two-level landscaped garden, a residents lounge, and a fitness center, among others.

The project came about after JDS purchased the site at 613 Baltic Street in the summer of 2014. A first rendering for the VOA Associates-designed building was unveiled in early 2015. The 11-story structure topped out last summer, and now it will be just another few months to opening.
