This is as close as it gets to penthouse living in Manhattan for a bargain

Welcome back to The Six-Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

This might be as close it it gets to owning an Upper East Side penthouse for anything less than seven figures. On the penthouse level of a mid 20th-century building at 444 East 75th Street, a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment is asking a mere $785,000.

The apartment isn’t teeming with fancy finishes or details and is in fact quite simple in its design but it is spacious and receives plenty of sunlight. The kitchen has been updated with stainless steel appliances and the apartment boasts Brazilian oak floors throughout. Other than that, there isn’t much else to gawk over, except of course, for the outdoor space. There are two balconies, both with great views of the Manhattan skyline.

Monthly charges are a bit pricey at $1,923/month, however, the building is full service and offers amenities that include a 24-hour doorman and a laundry room.
