$125K Time Warner Center penthouse is now NYC's most expensive non-hotel rental

All of that cash will get you “jetliner views”

There’s a new absurdly expensive rental in town—one so pricey, in fact, that it’s vaulted to the top of the list of New York’s most expensive rentals (of the non-hotel variety, anyway). And unsurprisingly, it’s an apartment within the Time Warner Center; specifically, a 75th-floor penthouse that’s asking an eye-popping $125,000/month.

This particular apartment, created from two separate units, has been listed as a rental before, though this is the first time it’s gone for that high an amount of money—previously, the most he was asking was $110,000. (It’s not like this is the first Time Warner Center apartment to have an astronomical price tag, though—a 68th-floor rental was going for $110,000/month earlier this year.)

Like many of the TWC building apartments, this particular unit has walls o’windows, so much so that the brokerbabble claims it has “unparalleled jet liner views of the entire city.” That’s in addition to its myriad fancy amenities, including two kitchens, an enormous master bedroom (with a his-and-hers bathroom and adjacent dressing room), a library and a media room, and high-end smart home features.

All of which is very nice, but is it $125,000/month nice? You can weigh in on that one in the comments.

Correction: A previous version of this post misidentified the owner of the apartment; that information has been removed. Curbed regrets the error.
