Comedian and TV personality Rosie O’Donnell dropped $8 million on a Midtown East penthouse, 6sqft has learned. The triplex penthouse spans 3,600 square feet and comes with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The condo opens up into the massive living and dining area, which come with floor-to-ceilings windows, with great views of the city. The living room comes fitted with a wood-burning fireplace and a wet bar. The kitchen is to the left of this area, and has among its many posh features a 70-bottle wine refrigerator, an espresso machine, appliances by Miele and Gaggenau, and white Corian countertops.

The master suite is tucked away in a corner on this very floor, and the master bathroom here comes with a steam shower, a free-standing tub, heated floors, and a television screen on a glass wall, because of course an exorbitant Midtown penthouse would have a perk like this.

Two additional bedrooms are located on the floor below, and the fourth bedroom is located on the same floor as the master suite. A sculptural staircase inspired by the Guggenheim Museum connects these two floors inside the apartment. The lower floor also has a separate entrance within the building.

The highlight of this condo perhaps is the over 1,600-square-foot rooftop terrace, which comes fitted with an integrated sound system, an outdoor kitchen, lounging areas, and views of the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings.

In terms of New York City real estate, this is the second penthouse O’Donnell has purchased in the last decade. In the fall of 2012, she paid a little over $8 million for a Greenwich Village condo, which she then sold two years later for $9 million.

Her Midtown East investment was last on the market for $8.49 million, and had been picked up by the previous owner for $4.37 million in 2013.
