Greenwich Village duplex with voyeur-friendly bathroom seeks $2.4M

New, 7 comments

Yep, this place

Living in New York City means forfeiting a certain amount of privacy, but this Greenwich Village apartment really exposes that concept. The Silk Building duplex has made the rounds before, as an $8,000/month one-bedroom rental on East 4th Street between Broadway and Lafayette.

But unlike some other area apartments, this is a hard one to forget: The apartment’s master bathroom is enclosed in glass, with no privacy feature or curtain to speak of. Alas, when it comes to interior design (and fetishes), to each their own.

The apartment, fortunately, has another bathroom on its lower level with more traditional walls. The 1,200-square-foot space also comes with an updated kitchen with a Bertazzoni Ferrari red gas oven and access to the building’s landscaped roof deck. The place is on the market for $2.4 million with Natasha Zhuravsky of Citi Habitats, and even comes along with a tenant who’s staying through 2019.
