The 17-story building is located at 810 River Avenue, and is the first high rise built in the neighborhood since this area for rezoned for tall buildings in 2009.

The SLCE Architects-designed building features a mix of studios, one, two, and three-bedrooms and they’re each being offered at different income bands, for people making 40 percent, 60 percent, 90 percent, and 130 percent of the area median income.

Rents start as low as $548 per month for a studio, and can go as high as $2,113 per month for a three-bedroom apartment. Apartments here average 933 square feet in size, and the first two floors of the building will also feature retail and community facilities. Amenities here include a gym, a media center, a laundry room on site, outdoor space for tenants, and parking for 61 cars. The building is also ideally located just over a block away from the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium stop on the B&D trains.

The affordable housing application is open until September 29 this year.
