In the Bronx, affordable apartments in Fordham Heights ask from $884/month

The building is offering 64 of its 94 apartments as affordable and supportive housing

New affordable housing is up for grabs within a new 11-story building on the rise at 2264 Morris Avenue in Fordham Heights. Developers Bronx Pro Group and Services for the Underserved are constructing a 94-apartment mixed-use project that will provide low and median-income residents with affordable housing as well as supportive housing for those in need, reports DNAinfo.

NYC Housing Connect launched the lottery [PDF!] for 62 of the building’s apartments, offering 23 one-bedrooms, 25 two-bedrooms, and 14 three-bedrooms beginning at $884 for households earning between $32,195 and $45,840 to as much as $1,740 for families earning between $62,229 to $110,700 annually.

The imposing white and black building is slated to offer features like hardwood floors, modern kitchens and bathrooms, energy efficient appliances within the individual units, along with building amenities that will include a laundry room, on-site superintendent, and a few parking spaces.

Applications are being accepted now through September 5 and the projected is expected to be complete in February 2018.
