Did you guess the correct asking price?

Based on the guesses for this week’s Pricespotter apartment, we get the feeling that commenters are going to be incredulous about the actual asking price of the apartment. So here’s the reveal: the Brooklyn Heights one-bedroom co-op is going for the princely sum of $745,000—much higher than most guesses. The closest without going over was 10012, with $729,000.

The apartment is located at 55 Pineapple Street, so it certainly has location going for it—it’s just steps from the Promenade, along with the A/C and the 2/3; Brooklyn Bridge Park and Dumbo are also not too far away. And while the place does have its fair share of quirks, it wouldn’t be so bad for a single person or a couple (without a kid, anyway—that foyer-nursery is plenty weird).

Many commenters didn’t agree with that assessment—while it was agreed that the reno is nice, the “horrible layout” and “weird and wasted space” were too much for some.
