Citi Bike ridership will likely get a major bump today. Why you ask? Well, it’s entirely free of cost until 11:59 p.m. today. In its newest marketing push, Citi Bike has partnered with Noosa Yogurt to offer a day of free rides throughout the city, and in some cases free yogurt too.
All you have to do is download the Citi Bike app, enter in your phone number, and voila! you get a free pass to use anytime over the course of the day. This particular event is part of a summer partnership between Citi Bike and Noosa, which has seen the Colorado-based company place ads at 40 different Citi Bike stations across the city, according to the New York Daily News.
In Bowling Green, Noosa has set up a kiosk to offer up a sampling of free yogurt in coordination with the free biking event. This station will be open until 5 p.m. today.

Just last week, Citi Bike witnessed an all-time signal day ridership high with 70,000 rides completed in one day. As Citi Bike continues to expand to the outer boroughs, and ridership levels reach all time highs, the city is now also planning to add 10 miles of protected bike lanes this year, and 50 miles of regular bike lanes annually starting next year.
Today is Free Ride Day! Download the Citi Bike app and get a FREE day pass, compliments of @noosayoghurt! https://t.co/WPyg2jgqPJ pic.twitter.com/pAuwRZgHqe
