See the limestone-clad 220 Central Park South loom over Central Park

The 66-story building will be one of the tallest in the city when it is complete

Robert A.M. Stern’s Central Park South skyscraper may not have a publicly revealed completion date yet, but if new construction site photos are anything to go by, the 66-story condo building is certainly making rapid progress.

NyConstructionPhoto recently captured a host of new images that show that large portions of the Vornado Realty Trust-developed structure are now clad in their limestone facade, a Stern trademark.

The condo building is now measuring up to its equally statuesque neighbors One57, and 432 Park Avenue further east. One great photograph captures all three buildings in a line, just a pointer towards all the other development that will soon sprout up nearby, along 57th Street, across from Central Park.

220 Central Park South was most recently in the news when word of an $80 million apartment there got out in April. Condos here are yet to be publicly listed, but there’s been word of several $100 million apartments, and of course the über-extravagant $250 million quadruplex.

We got a sense of what the views from the building will look like when photographer Viktor Thomas managed to scale the structure in November last year. No word yet on when construction will wrap, but from the looks of it, it will probably be sometime next year.
