Construction work is steadily moving forward on two of NYC’s most talked-about projects in the works: Central Park Tower and 220 Central Park South. NyConstructionPhoto managed to capture the ongoing work on these condos, side by side, and we now have the photos to show you.
When we last checked in with Central Park Tower, in May, we got a first glimpse of the fluted facade that will eventually grace the entrance of the Nordstrom flagship store, at the base of the condo building. Eventually, the Extell-developed building will stand 1,550-feet-tall, and become the city’s tallest residential building.
While sales are yet to get underway, we got an inkling of what the prices and apartments here will look like this past July. The priciest condo unveiled at that time was a $95 million four-bedroom unit, with its own outdoor swimming pool.
Meanwhile at 220 Central Park South, Robert A.M. Stern’s signature limestone facade has enveloped even more of the 66-story building. This building too is no stranger to exorbitantly-prices condos what with its rumored $250 million quadruplex, and a recently unveiled $80 million duplex.

Both projects haven’t released an exact completion date yet, but from the looks of it, the latter could be complete as soon as next year.
