A six-bedroom penthouse situated atop the former Standish Arms Hotel in Brooklyn Heights is in the running to become the most expensive home sold in Brooklyn, thanks to its $16.645 million asking price.

And according to the Wall Street Journal, its buyer is a big name: actor Matt Damon is reportedly the soon-to-be new owner of the pricey pad. (Reps for the development declined to comment, but the WSJ claims to have gotten wind of the sale from “people close to the deal.”) If the apartment closes for the full asking price, the sale would beat that of the Cobble Hill townhouse at 177 Pacific Street, which sold for $15.5 million in 2015.

It’s not the first time that the Boston-born star has scoped out Brooklyn Heights real estate: He and his wife Luciana Barroso allegedly toured the enormous Low Mansion, once on the market for a whopping $40 million, but a deal never materialized.

The penthouse at the Standish is a mash up of three other units and comes with its own private outdoor space. Other amenities in the building, which is a conversion of a circa-1903 hotel that was previously owned by the Jehovah’s Witnesses, include a fitness center and a kid’s playroom.
