A five-bedroom condo with 50 feet of unobstructed views of Central Park, that’s part of the Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed 15 Central Park West, sold for $21.5 million, Curbed has learned.
This nearly 3,500-square-foot condo first came on the market in February 2017 for $33 million. Some of our readers commented at the time that the apartment would end up fetching somewhere near $20 million, and so it did.
The sale went into contract seven months later at the end of November, and the sale finally closed, quietly, at the end of last month. The Jacques Cohen team at Compass had brought on the Interior Marketing Group to rebrand and market the condo, and it seems to have paid off.
The condo is part of the Zeckendorf-developed building located on Central Park West, between West 61st and 62nd Streets. Notable past and present residents of the building include Sting, Robert de Niro, and Denzel Washington.
