The 11,000-square-foot spread is now asking $23 million

Dolly Lenz Realty LLC

The 11,000-square-foot penthouse at 165 Perry Street, occupied for a short period of time by one Robert DeNiro, is still looking for a buyer and keeps dropping its price tag to find one.

The so-called “mansion in the sky” has been on and off the market since 2012, when it first appeared as a $80,000/month rental. The penthouse has been listed a handful of times since, both as a rental and for sale, notably for $39.8 million in 2015 (then $25.5 million in 2016) and now, $22.995 million.

The penthouse has a lot of lovely things going for it: several gorgeous landscaped terraces overlooking the Hudson River; a library equipped with a wood-burning fireplace; double-height windows; an enormous garage; and a master suite with a fireplace, two walk-in closets, and an en-suite bathroom with a steam room.

As for the apartment’s brush with celebrity, DeNiro reportedly spent two years in the penthouse after his apartment at 88 Central Park West was significantly damaged in a 2012 fire.
