A Greenpoint waterfront project that was announced nearly three years ago may finally be picking up some steam amid the onslaught of new development in the neighborhood.

YIMBY has got its hands on the first rendering for the project located at 18 India Street, which is expected to bring between 500 and 700 new apartments to the neighborhood. Curbed has reached out to developer RedSky Capital to confirm this new rendering and get more details on this dormant site.

Back in 2015, plans called for a 40-story tower with a mix of market-rate and affordable housing. YIMBY reports that the overall development will span 650,000 square feet, and will feature a design of structures stacked on top of each other in a jenga-like sequence—you can get a sense of that from the rendering.

RedSky is partnering with JZ Capital Partners on the project, and in addition to the apartments, the site could also feature about 100,000 square feet of retail. There are no details yet on when construction will get underway.
