Vacant Soho building with Tadao Ando flourishes lists for $25M

The duplex penthouse and the building’s lobby were designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect

A six-story building in Soho that features a lobby and penthouse designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Tadao Ando, is now on the market for $25 million. Cushman & Wakefield listed the building, which is located at 43 Crosby Street, earlier today.

Measuring 13,500 square feet, the building is currently set up with three full-floor lofts, and a duplex penthouse on the top. Gotham Gym currently occupies the retail space on the ground floor.

For a new buyer, the building can continue to function as a residential structure or it can be converted into an office space, according to the listing. All the units were recently renovated, and are primed for a luxury conversion, according to C&W. The Tadao Ando-designed penthouse comes with multiple skylights and two roof decks. The building will be delivered vacant to the new owner.

This building is just a short walk away from Ando’s first ground-up project in NYC at 152 Elizabeth Street. 43 Crosby is also located across from the Annabelle Selldorf-designed condo building.
