Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find an actual house in Brooklyn that is both aesthetically pleasing and is asking under a million dollars, but it’s not impossible just yet. Case in point: this lovely single-family home along Cortelyou Road in Flatbush is asking $895,000. While it’s not exactly the most affordable home out there, it’s relatively reasonable for Brooklyn these days.

The three-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home dates back to 1925, and after a gut renovation, it offers a balanced mix of classic and modern details. On the parlor floor, there is a bright living room with high ceilings, maple hardwood floors, a decorative floors, and bay windows that flood the space with natural light. The nearby dining room features coffered ceilings, while the kitchen includes new stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher) before leading to the deck.

Each of the three bedrooms are located on the top floor of the home and all include ample closet space. The basement currently gives way to additional storage space, however, it can be configured into a recreation room or a home office and has room to add on an additional bathroom. There’s a washer/dryer on hand, a small but practical amount of outdoor space, and a one-car garage.

The 2 and 5 line’s Beverly Road station is about a six-minute walk away.
